The CICA

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority is a fund provided by public money which compensates victims of violent crimes. An application to the CICA will be accepted providing you:

were the victim of a crime of violence.
reported the matter to the police as soon as possible.
co-operated with any further police enquiries or investigations.
